Road connections through Gummi

Road infrastructure around Gummi formed part of the connectivity programme during Abdulaziz Yari’s governorship. The historical photographs show routes through the area and moments from their commissioning, placing the road record within the communities the routes were intended to serve.

Connections beyond the town

The Gummi–Gyalange–Bardoki–Gayari route and the corridor towards Daki Takwas and the Sokoto border are part of this account. Their significance lies in connection: linking settlements, supporting journeys to markets and providing routes through which produce and other goods can move.
