Ramadan food support begins across Zamfara

Senator Abdulaziz Yari’s Ramadan welfare distribution began in March 2025 with launches in Kaura Namoda, Gusau and Talata Mafara.

The arrangement was organised to reach vulnerable families across Zamfara’s 14 local government areas as Ramadan began. Rice, millet, maize and sugar formed part of the package.

Community distribution

Dr Lawal M. Liman represented the Senator at the launch and called on distribution officials to handle their responsibilities honestly and carefully. The local government structure was intended to bring allocations closer to the families receiving assistance.

Food and household welfare

The intervention addressed the immediate need for household food during Ramadan. It belongs to the March 2025 distribution period; subsequent festive or agricultural support programmes have their own arrangements.
